Hi everyone!   Spring has officially sprung! Whoo-hoo! I have been enjoying spending more time outdoors and my jonquils are blooming a beautiful yellow! And I see more buds, so more flowers are on the way.  Speaking of flowers, I want to share a new song with you, called "Green Eyed Daisy." Click the picture below to see the video. This is from an online performance I did in February with the Linden Tree Coffee House. I think I wrote the song to tap into Daisy's sense of adventure, and I hope you feel that too!    "Daisy" will be on the new album.  There is more than one song on the album that was finished during the pandemic time, and therefore have never been played in front of a live audience. This is one of them, and I can't wait to play it and other new songs for in a room full of people!   Read on below for information about tomorrow night's online show, and other thoughts and musings. And as always, thank you for your support and interest! :) ...

All You Need is Love - February Newsletter I am sneaking my February newsletter in just under the wire! It still counts, right? February is Black History Month and the month we celebrate Valentine's Day ,and I will incorporate both in this newsletter, including some playlists a little further down for your listening pleasure.  Thank you and welcome to the new folks on this list - I appreciate your interest and support! This has been a month of some behind the scenes work. I've been recording, and am excited about how the album is progressing. I can't wait until it is a little farther along and I can share some of it with you. I also continue to write, and have two new Insta-poems posted here and here . In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I will say that I don't write many actual love songs but I do have a few, and was delighted to find out last year, quite by accident, that a fan had created a video to the song Still , which is from the Kirsten & Dave album, ...
January Newsletter We made it to 2021! The world is still pretty crazy in so many different ways, and I know we are all just trying to find our way through. I believe creative pursuits of any and all kinds helps us do that. Some people write, some people knit, and some people fix up old cars. And we all find comfort and meaning in consuming the results of these creative pursuits. We read books, we walk through beautifully designed garden, and we partake in deliciously crafted meals. The ways in which we create and consume the results are endless.   For me music has always been the the medium I gravitate towards to help me make sense of the world and feel more connected to humanity - both listening to and creating it. And if any part of my journey somehow helps you along yours, I am both humbled and honored.  And I hope you already know that you help me along mine.   So here is my new newsletter format. I hope you find something in it that adds to your day, week, mo...
