Blossom in the Sun Releases Today! - June Newsletter
Hello all!
This month's newsletter is exciting to me as I am so glad to let you know that the new album Blossom in the Sun releases today (woot!). There is also some information about upcoming shows in Yarmouth Port, MA and Lawrence, MA. More details on those below, and of course I will have copies of the CD with me!
I am delighted to have already had some radio play from the album across the country, and I hope that my music continues to reach a wider audience. I'm grateful to all of you for your continued support.

Creative Musings
Anytime I finish a big creative project (like oh, recording an album) I always feel depleted creativity-wise. The first time it happened, I was a little nervous - would I ever write another song, or was it all over? Now I know it is just part of the cycle, and that I need to take some time to fill the well, as Julia Cameron describes. I have included a quote from her below, which I think sums it up nicely. And in the meantime, I am going to work on filling that well!
Art is an image-using system. In order to create, we draw from our inner well. This inner well, an artistic reservoir, is ideally like a well-stocked trout pond. We've got big fish, little fish, fat fish, skinny fish-- an abundance of artistic fish to fry. As artists, we must realize that we have to maintain this artistic ecosystem.
If we don't give some attention to upkeep, our well is apt to become depleted, stagnant, or blocked. Any extended period of piece of work draws heavily on our artistic well.
As artists we must learn to be self-nourishing. We must become alert enough to consciously replenish our creative resources as we draw on them-- to restock the trout pond, so to speak. I call this process filling the well. -Julia Cameron
Good Stuff
As I mentioned above, Folkapotamus has a wonderful new album out called We'll Dance Again. You can check it out here.
