Hi everyone!
I hope this note finds you well! I have had such a good time at all my gigs so far this summer, and thank all of you who have come out to be a part of the fun. It is so wonderful to share music-making with all of you.
This month I just have one gig, another farmers market with Dave, this one in Lynn. I plan to have just as much fun, and hope to see some of you there.
In the meantime, thank you for reading and all your support!
:) Kirsten

Creative Musings
I seem to be in a very inspired season. I keep getting ideas - all different kinds of ideas. Ideas for songs, for projects, for how to reorganize my CDs (yes, I still have CDs) and so much more. Sometimes I feel like I should be working on all these ideas, rather than just taking them in. But I know I don't have the time to tackle them all at once. And I also know that these inspired seasons don't come around all that often. So I think the best thing I can do right now is just receive the ideas, from wherever they are coming, and when they start to slow down, I can then think about how I want to approach each of them. How, when, etc. Which one will call to me the most? As long as I capture them all (and that really is the key thing - I need to make sure I am writing them down, or voice recording them, or whatever medium is available for me to make sure I remember them.) I have learned over the years that even though I think an idea is so good there is no way I could forget it - memory doesn't work that way. I think that's a lesson every creative person learns the hard way. If I get them down now, I will have them to turn to, when the season changes to a less inspired one, which of course is bound to happen. When it comes to creativity, sometimes you just have to go with the flow.
Good Stuff
I really like this book I in the middle of reading, called All it Takes is a Goal by Jon Acuff. It has a different take on setting goals than I have seen before - kind of backing in to what goals to set and how to set them. I am definitely interested to try the exercises and see what happens!
