Opening for Jimmy Tingle (Shirley, MA) and Porchfest - June Newsletter
Hello all!
Welcome to those of you who are new to this list! Thank you for your interest and support; it means a lot.
I had a great time at my May shows, and look forward to this upcoming season of outdoors shows. Those of you who have followed me for awhile know I love to play outdoor shows!
My first show of June does happen to be indoors, but I am again opening for Jimmy Tingle, so I''l take it! :) Jimmy's Humor for Humanity show is great, and I am honored to open for him once again, assisted by my husband Tim Foley, this time at The Bull Run in Shirley, MA. Tickets are here, and information about that show and others are below.
I also have some new songs in the works, which hopefully you will hear sooner than later. I guess my creative well is finally replenished, after the whole album release thing I did last year. It feels good to be writing again.
Thanks to all of you for reading, and I hope to see you out at a show!
:) Kirsten

The Bull Run
I am honored to be opening once again for comedian and humorist Jimmy Tingle. His Humor for Humanity show is heartfelt and, of course, very funny. Looking forward to lots of laughs.
Saturday, June 24 Kirsten & Dave
1:00 p.m.
Dave and I will be jamming for awhile at the Reading Porchfest. See the link above for address and details. And, the husband Tim Foley playes right after us at 2 p.m.!
This is one of the best farmers markets in the area! Dave and I love playing here, and then stocking up! There's veggies, crafts, and more!
Good Stuff
Two entries for this month's Good Stuff section. I am loving Caitlyn Smith's album High & Low. It's somehow country, Americana, and pop all at the same time. It's hard for me to pick favorite songs to link to, but I will go with Lately, Good as Us, and Writing Songs and Raising Babies.
And my husband took me to see guitarist Bill Frisell in concert, who I had never heard of before. It was quite something. Just instrumental music with a bassist and a drummer, melding so many styles, and never really taking breaks between songs. Sometimes it sounded like the three of them were having a conversation with their instruments, other times it was a wall of sound, and still others sounded like a dreamscape. Here's a little taste, although this video doesn't really do them justice.
