Trio show, and Tim's new album is released! - July Newsletter
Hi everyone,
I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! I have done some traveling, some hiking, some gardening, and in general am just enjoying time outdoors. I am savoring it as much as I can.
I just have one show this month, but I am absolutely delighted to be joined by Jackie Damsky on fiddle and Chip Canty on bass. It has been a long time since a Kirsten Manville Trio has performed, and I am really looking forward to it. And it's an outdoor show (Magnolia Park in Arlington, MA) and you know how much I love outdoor shows! Info is below.
Thanks to all of you for reading, and I hope to see you out at a show!

I am delighted to be joined by Jackie and Chip for this concert. And I am delighted to be a part of the Magnolia Park concert series this year. We'll play a fun mix of originals and covers.
Good Stuff
Tim Foley's Stop Along the Way is definitely good stuff. You can read his first review here, and below is a bit about the album. Please check it out!
Featuring Tim Foley vocals and guitar, Mike ‘Sax’ McLaughlin tenor and
soprano saxophones (Rusted Bucket Band), Richard Gates bass (Richard
Thompson, Patty Larkin, Ellis Paul) and educator Fabio Pirozzolo
percussion (Sawaari, Grand Fatilla, Newpoli). The album was recorded
live, just prior to the pandemic shutdown, at Middleville Studio with
engineer Chris Rival (Paula Cole, Susan Tedeschi, Duke Lavine, Peter
Wolf).
Tim Foley is a songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist whose sound does not
settle easily into a descriptive box. You will hear an amalgamation of
musical styles he has gravitated towards which include blues, jazz,
folk, classical, and funk. He lived in New Orleans for several years and
was heavily influenced by the city’s tradition of musical
experimentation.
Tim was performing the songs featured on the album as a soloist but knew
they would be better presented in a band format. The group supports
Tim’s songs in all the right ways. Percussion, bass, and saxophone meld
together with Tim’s versatile guitar work and pure tenor voice to make
each song its own story.
